John Elliott worked for the Special Operations Group, an adjunct to the U.S. Department of State and the CIA, and concurrently for the Israeli spy agency Mossad. His first assignment took him to the jungles of northern Laos in the late summer of 1966 as he targeted Communist insurgents, and ended in a hotel room in Dubai at the dawn of 2010 as he tracked down a Hamas terror leader. He also spent many of those years working in law enforcement both in the United States and with Interpol in Lyon, France.

The author of twenty-two books, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, an MBA, and a Juris Doctorate law degree.
